Re designer Udaya Kumar to join IIT-G faculty
The new Rupee symbol was approved by the Union cabinet today and the government will try to adopt it within six months in the country and globally within 18 to 24 months. IIT post-graduate D Udaya Kumar, whose design has been approved as the symbol of the Indian rupee, will be joining as a faculty of the engineering institute in Guwahati. IIT-Guwahati director Gautam Barua informed, Kumar has been appointed as an assistant professor in the design department.
