SMU is at Sikkim, due to which is not feasible for every student to gain direct education from the university. Therefore, there are many education centres, present in different parts of the country, which are meant for the students, who have opted for distant education from the university. There is a separate division for distance learning also, which provides courses in different subject to students, and enable them to gain educational degrees, sitting at their home. The university also has hostel facility, which provides one more opportunity to the students to practise direct learning in their respective courses. Hostel facility makes it easier for the students across the country to pursue course in their desired subjects. With the changing times, the university also brings changes in their course structure, to match the pace of the developing world. The university has all the latest infrastructural facilities for the students, with respect to the different courses.
