Annamalai Distance Education University
Annamalai University is the largest University in Asia offering Distance Learning courses. There are more than 400 courses of study, which can be chosen by the students. The University boasts of learned teaching staff with a strength reaching up to almost 2500.
In 1979, the Directorate of Distance education was established. The National Assessment and Accredition Council has accredited Annamalai University. The students are enrolled in the various programs not only in India but the other countries also make the university a distinguished one. The university has set up study centres across the stat of Tamil Nadu as well as through out the country. The students who take up the correspondence courses with the University can select the centre, which is most convenient. They can collect the study material from either the centres or from the university directly. Students can also receive the course material through postal services.
The course content is exhaustive an well designed.It comprises of interactive aids like VCD, audio visual presentations, assignments etc.
